  • TTS Acquires Shaper Tools, Inc.

    December 2018

    The company Shaper Tools, based in San Francisco (California), develops a mobile, intuitively operable CNC device under the name "Origin". Origin enables the user to perform complex milling tasks easily, quickly and without templates, regardless of the size of the workpiece. At the heart of this innovative product is computer vision technology that tracks the tool’s position on the workpiece, and an automatic position-correction system that adjusts the position of the cutting bit to precisely follow a digital design. It's an enormous facilitation for the user, who only needs to guide the machine while Origin automatically positions itself for precise milling.

  • Festool Expands U.S. Headquarters

    July 2018

    Festool recently announced that the headquarters for Festool USA and Festool Canada, located in Lebanon, Ind., will expand by 80,000 square feet. This is the second, large-scale expansion within the past three years. Company executives cite increased demand and robust sales behind $9.3 million expansion, as the Festool brand continues to grow among professional tool users, residential contractors, painters, remodelers, and woodworkers. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2018 and will be completed by December 2019.

    Festool begins U.S. production

    Festool announced today that it has started producing its FS Guide Rails, an integral system component and accessory of many of its power tools, at the company’s North American headquarters in Lebanon, IN. Festool plans to expand its Lebanon-based manufacturing facilities for additional production lines and other products in the future. FS Guide Rails production uses U.S.-sourced material and will begin shipping throughout the U.S. and Canadian markets in late 2017.

    June 2017

    TTS Tooltechnic Systems signed Purchase Agreement to acquire US enterprise SawStop, LLC, thus expanding the TTS range of products to table saws and enhancing the company’s expertise to further safeguard operator safety. SawStop, LLC is a US manufacturer of high-quality saws headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon near Portland, USA that offers unmatched safety technology. Active Injury Mitigation (AIM) is a pioneering technology that prevents saw operators from suffering serious cuts and wounds by stopping the blade within only a few milliseconds if the saw blade comes in contact with the operator's skin.

  • Festool Wins Two Industry Innovation Awards


    October 2015:

    Festool USA has just won two Pro Tool Innovation Awards (PTIA) for the TSC 55 Cordless Track Saw and the BHC 18 Cordless Rotary Hammer. The TSC 55, which won the 18V cordless track saw category, is described as being the most versatile, precise cutting system available, and is able to cut through 100 meters of sheet goods on a single charge. The BHC Rotary Hammer, which won the 18V cordless rotary hammer category, has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class and has a compact and ergonomic C-handle design.
