A cookie is a small text file that may be used to collect information about your activity on the Sites and Services. For example, when someone visits a page within the Sites, and where consent is required and obtained, a cookie is placed on the user’s machine or is read if the user has visited the Sites previously. A web beacon is an electronic image, also called a "gif," that may be in the form of a "png" image, as well as iframe, script, input link, embed, object, and other tags to track usage. These web beacons may be used on our Sites and Services to deliver cookies, and to count visits and compile statistics on usage and effectiveness of our Sites and emails. Social media pixels are code on our Sites and Services that shows how people react to our social media ads and tracks of the interactions you have with our Sites and Services.

These cookie providers, such as advertising companies, may gather personal information about your visit to the Sites, Services, or other sites to enable them to market products or services to you, to monitor which ads have been served to your browser and which webpages you were viewing when such ads were delivered, subject to your consent where required by applicable law. If you are based in a country or region which requires express consent for the use of certain kinds of cookies and of similar technologies and/or of information obtained by the use of cookies or similar technologies, we will comply with such consent requirements.

Depending on the particular advertising services they provide, these third-party advertising companies may employ first-party cookies or third-party cookies. Unlike third-party cookies, first-party cookies are hosted on Festool's servers. If you would like more information about third-party cookies or to learn more about your opt-out choices, please click here and here.

  • Performance and Analytics Cookies are used by Festool and third parties to see how you use the Sites and Services in order to enhance their performance and develop them according to your preferences.
  • Functional Cookies allow us to personalize and improve your experience by recording your preferences, which allows you to visit our Sites or Services without re-entering your username and/or password.
  • Targeting or Advertising Cookies are used by Festool and third parties to deliver ads we believe are more relevant to you and your interests, to improve the performance of our advertising across the Internet, and to limit the number of times that you see an ad on our Sites.

Below we have provided a list of cookies we may use on our Sites or Services. The categories of personal information collected via these cookies is described in the section, “How We Collect and Use Personal Information”. How long these cookies stay on your device depends on what they need to do. Others may stay on your device unless you choose to delete them (persistent cookies). You may control the collection of your personal information by visiting the websites of the cookie provider listed here.

We also use the following third-party tools to collect information about visitors to our Sites or Services:

SOCIAL MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLUGINS

Our Sites and Services may use social media plugins, which are recognizable by the respective companies’ logos or the "Like" or "Recommend" buttons, for example. When you visit one of our Sites or any Services which contain this type of plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the relevant company’s servers, and the content of the plugin is, in turn, transmitted to your browser, which incorporates it into the website being displayed. This is how the fact that you have visited our Sites or Services is passed on to these companies.

Via our presence on social media (LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Twitter, YouTube), we also offer you comprehensive personal support and the option of staying in touch with us. These social media services collect personal information independently, e.g. via the profile you created on these services or via social plugins implemented on the websites of third parties. If you send us a query via one of these social media, we will forward the query to the relevant department. The data is used solely for the purposes of responding to your query and is not passed on to third parties. If you wish to get in touch with us via social media, you must register with these services. The companies behind the service in question may collect, store and use personal information. When you interact directly with these social media platforms, the nature, scope and processing of this data is beyond our control. These are services provided by the US companies:
